Overview

A key component to respirometric testing is the oxygen transfer limit. So, Challenge Technology experimented with many stirrers, but found that all the stirring units available could not reach the high speeds required without the risk of spin-off and possibly nullifying an entire test.  So, Challenge set out tocreate the best multi-position stirrer available.

 

MS-300 Seires Specification

  • Available in 4-position and 8-position.
  • Magnetic components are rare-earth magnets. ~ The rare earth magnet has much greater pull than a basic ceramic magnet!
  • Long-life pulley belts
  • Stirring speeds from 0-1500 RPM
  • Single speed dial controller with LCD RPM display.
  • Single motor mounted away from samples so as to eliminate secondary heat affecting your samples. 
  • Accommodates standard bottles - 10mL to 2L.
  • 38mm and 50mm stir bars with Stir Rings to compensate for the convex bottom of most laboratory bottles. 
  • Screened positioning circles for centering sample over magnet.
  • If temperature control is needed, the MS-300 works seamlessly with the WC-200 series water bath.
